Motorbike riders protest in Dhaka

 




Motorbike riders have protested demanding the lifting of the ban on ride-sharing after the introduction of public transport in cities within the lockdown.  


They protested in front of the National Press Club in Magbazar, Khilkhet, Mirpur on Wednesday afternoon. At that time they tried to block the road. Police later removed them. 


Complaints of bikers or riders in the shares, two people being prevented from riding on motorcycles, police are harassing with lawsuits.


For this reason, the bikers have protested to lift the ban. 


Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (Traffic) said. Munibur Rahman said in this regard, they have protested with several demands. We have heard their demands. However, they did not stay on the road for long. Gone from half an hour.


Ridesharing was also banned after a one-week lockdown was imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. However, the ban on public transport from major cities, including Dhaka, was lifted on Wednesday to avoid human suffering.
