Infection and death can be out of control if instructions are not followed: Health Minister

 Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said when the lockdown would need to be lifted; The government will take that decision at the right time. If these government guidelines are not followed now, infection and death in Corona may become uncontrollable in the future. 

The health minister made the remarks after inspecting the progress of work on the preparation and work of 200 new Corona ICU beds and 1,000 isolation beds at Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Market Hospital in Mohakhali on Tuesday afternoon.








Zahid Malek said, 'The government has announced a lockdown to control Corona. Earlier, the Prime Minister had given 18 important instructions. Now work is going on in all parts of the country including the capital Dhaka to prevent corona as per the government instructions. But somewhere in the country there is a movement to lift the lockdown. He said, 'The government's lockdown system was urgent at the moment, so the government has given. When the lockdown needs to be lifted, the government will make that decision. If these government guidelines are not followed now, both infection and death in Corona may become uncontrollable in the future.


The DNCC Market Hospital may be inaugurated in the next two weeks, the health minister said. He said that the 200 ICU beds being made in this hospital at the same time is rare in South Asia. In addition, there are 1000 new isolation beds. However, no matter how much the number of beds is increased, if people do not follow the hygiene rules, then nothing will come under control.


During the visit, new secretary of health department Lokman Hossain Mia, director general of health department ABM Khurshid Alam, director of the hospital Brigadier AT&M Nasir Uddin and others were present.
